2014-10-16

"Passive House"originated in Germany in 1990s. By improving the building's heat insulation and airtight performance and with a new air circulating system for hot and cold recycling, a comfortable and energy saving Passive House was created. Finally it could achieve energy saving of 92% on buildings.

The Passive Low Energy Buildings have been promoted in the whole China since the first residential demonstration project was launched and completed in Qinhuangdao in 2012. Today, nearly 50 Passive House projects are being designed and constructed in China, covering Heilongjiang, Hebei, Fujian, Xinjiang, Shandong, Hunan, Jiangsu, Qinghai and Liaoning, etc.

So far, four demonstration projects obtained the certifications from MOHURD and foreign professional institutions, and all the four projects are using Saint-Gobain's products.
