ExcellAsian Club, a recently established organization that recognizes high-performing employees from each country or Business Unit in the Asia-Pacific region, went on a special trip to Paris and the Olympic Games 2024. The trip concluded on August 12, after a fruitful itinerary that included visiting Saint-Gobain Tower, attending three Olympic Games 2024 sessions, and networking with colleagues from different backgrounds.
On August 9, the high-performing colleagues joined a cocktail lunch with top executives at the 36th floor of Saint-Gobain Tower. They had the opportunity to greet and network with Screedhar N., Group CFO, David Molho, Group HPS CEO, and Ludovic Weber, APAC CEO. A brief awarding ceremony was also organized to grant the ExcellAsian Club certificates to the members. Screedhar and Ludovic delivered speeches to express their appreciation to them for their contributions to Saint-Gobain and encouraged them to explore the city and enjoy the Olympic Games.
The high-performing colleagues also toured some floors of Saint-Gobain Tower, including the Group's showroom, where they learned about the 80+ sustainable solutions applied in the landmark building. Additionally, they separately attended sessions of Water Polo (Men's quarterfinals), Beach Volleyball (Women's quarterfinals), and Athletic Marathon (Women's final) at Olympic Games, experiencing the competitive and engaging atmosphere at the venues.
ExcellAsian Club members also visited two world-renowned palaces in Paris, Palace of Versailles and the Louvre, which have a historical connection with Saint-Gobain. The birth of Saint-Gobain originated from constructing the Hall of Mirrors at Palace of Versailles in 1670, while the special glasses installed in the see-through pyramid-shaped structure of the Louvre were produced by Saint-Gobain.
The trip was a memorable experience filled with appreciation, encouragement, and new driving forces for the journey ahead with Saint-Gobain. Everyone enjoyed a lot and left with a sense of pride as ExcellAsian Club members.
